Mrs. DuCoeur has taught various elementary grades in schools in Post Falls, Mexico, Indonesia, and Germany.  Her favorite thing about teaching is experiencing “Ah hah!” moments with students, when they “get” a concept or solve a problem on their own.  Mrs. DuCoeur lives in downtown Coeur d’Alene with her husband, Scott, and their four children-three of whom attend Sorensen.

Jennifer Edmonds is a new Kindergarten teacher at the Sorensen Magnet School.  In 1994 she graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Education and an Early Childhood Education endorsement. She started teaching in the Post Falls School District and was there for 10 years.  Four of those years were spent teaching Kindergarten. In 1997 she received her Masters from the University of Idaho in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Literacy.   Her husband is Eric Edmonds, a teacher at Lake City High School, and they have 3 children.
