Summer Update:
We would like to thank you for another amazing year! We appreciate our partnerships between school and home. Each child has so much to be proud of this year. Have a great summer and keep reading and practicing those multiplication facts!
Welcome to Third Grade! This is an exciting year filled with amazing learning experiences. For Language Arts, we work on reading strategies, fluency, Author's Studies, spelling big words, new vocabulary, and cursive. For math, we explore place value, rounding and estimating, adding and subtracting with regrouping, counting money, elapsed time, fractions, and multiplication facts! For science, we explore ecosystems, properties of matter, and the Solar System. For social studies, we explore our local community, city government, geography, and economics. Third Grade is an amazing place to be... and we look forward to working with you!

Hola! Me nombre es Kerry. Hi! My name is Kerry. I am a mother to Janey, Kasey, and Levi. I have lived in Mexico and speak some Spanish. I love spending time with family and friends listening to music and laughing. My family and I live downtown and love being a part of the downtown community. This is my third year as a member of the Sorensen Family. |
My name is Mrs. Marshall, and I love teaching! I have been married to my best friend for 18 years, and together we are raising our 6 children in this great city! My favorites include chocolate, good jazz music, the color red, Sorensen students, quilting, the beach, and being with friends and family. My passion is teaching, and third grade is the best place to be. I look forward to building relationships, engaging kids, and partnering with you to increase your child's success. |
