Welcome to Sorensen!

Sorensen Magnet School of the Arts and Humanities is committed to providing an academically excellent education for every child, with an emphasis on integrating the visual and performing arts, along with humanities, into our standards-based curriculum.

Sorensen is a magnet school, which allows us to "attract" students from all over our wonderful community.  We strongly value community at Sorensen, and that is reflected in our weekly Monday Morning Gatherings, weekly Classroom Meetings, daily times of goal setting and reflections, and our creative uniforms.  We value and encourage the feelings of success that students experience when they have instruction, practice, and amazing final products in the visual or performing arts mediums.  Stop in to complete an Enrollment Application, meet the staff, and get your questions answered.  We look forward to partnering with you!
