Special Meeting March 30, 2007
Coeur d'Alene School District Administrative Office 11:00 AM

MINUTES

At 10:35 a.m., the meeting was called to order by Vice Chair Edie Brooks. Trustees Sid Fredrickson and Diane Zipperer were also present.

Motion by Mr. Fredrickson, second by Mrs. Zipperer for Executive Session: Idaho Code 67-2345, Subsection (b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent or public school student: Roll Call Vote: Brooks, Fredrickson, Zipperer each “yes”. Trustees Newby and Wood did not attend.

The meeting returned to open session at 11:20 a.m.

Motion by Mr. Fredrickson to reinstate Student A immediately with an academic and performance - behavior contract. Future violations to Board Policies regarding substance abuse or weapons by the student will result in an appearance before the Board of Trustees for an immediate expulsion hearing, second by Mrs. Zipperer, passed 3-0.

The meeting returned to open session at 12:03 p.m.

Motion Mr. Fredrickson to expel Student B for the remainder of the school year. Student may enroll in Idaho Digital Learning Academy (IDLA) classes during the summer session at parent expense. Student may return to Coeur d’Alene High School in the Fall of 2007 under an academic and performance – behavior contract. Any future violation to the Board Policy regarding substance abuse by the student will result in an immediate hearing before the Board, second by Mrs. Zipperer, passed 3-0.
