Minutes

At 3:50 PM, Chair Edie Brooks called the meeting to order. Trustees Vern Newby and Diane Zipperer were also present.

Motion by Mr. Newby, second by Mrs. Zipperer for Executive Session: Idaho Code 67-2345, Subsection (b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent or public school student; Roll Call Vote: Brooks, Newby, Zipperer each “yes”. Trustees Christie Wood and Sid Fredrickson were not in attendance.

The meeting returned to open session at 4:10 PM.

Motion by Mr. Newby that Student A should return to school immediately under a behavior and academic contract, second by Mrs. Zipperer, passed 3-0.

Motion by Mr. Newby, second by Mrs. Zipperer for Executive Session: Idaho Code 67-2345, Subsection (b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent or public school student; Roll Call Vote: Brooks, Newby, Zipperer each “yes”. Trustees Christie Wood and Sid Fredrickson were not in attendance.

The meeting returned to open session at 4:45 PM.

Motion by Mr. Newby that the Board direct the administration to implement the following pursuant to Idaho Code 33-512(11) that Student B is not allowed to appear or attend any school function or activity at any school, school campus, or school event or activity held off campus until further notice, second by Mrs. Zipperer, passed 3-0.

Motion by Mr. Newby that the Board shall ratify the actions undertaken by the IEP team in terms of placement for educational services for Student B, second by Mrs. Zipperer, passed 3-0.

Approval of Consent Agenda Items:
A. Personnel
B. Approve Affidavit of Habitual Truancy

Motion by Mr. Newby, second by Mrs. Zipperer to approve the consent agenda, passed 3-0.

Consideration of Action/Information Items:
A. Excel Grant Recommendations

Motion by Mrs. Zipperer, second by Mr. Newby to approve the Excel Grant Recommendations as presented, passed 3-0.

Meeting adjourned at 5:00 PM.
