Minutes

At 9:35 a.m. the meeting was called to order by Acting Chair Sid Fredrickson. Trustees Christie Wood and Diane Zipperer were also present.

Motion by Mrs. Wood, second by Mrs. Zipperer for Executive Session: Idaho Code 67-2345, Subsection (b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent or public school student: Roll call vote: Fredrickson, Wood, Zipperer each “yes”. Trustees Newby and Brooks did not attend.

The meeting returned to open session at 10:10 a.m. No action was taken at this time.

Motion by Mrs. Zipperer, second by Mrs. Wood for Executive Session: Idaho Code 67-2345, Subsection (b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent or public school student: Roll call vote: Fredrickson, Wood, Zipperer each “yes”.

The meeting returned to open session at 10:50 a.m. No action was taken was taken at this time.

Motion by Mrs. Zipperer, second by Mrs. Wood for Executive Session: Idaho Code 67-2345, Subsection (b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent or public school student: Roll call vote: Fredrickson, Wood, Zipperer each “yes”.

The meeting returned to open session at 11:20 a.m.

Motion by Mrs. Wood to immediately reinstate Student C under a behavior and performance contract determined by the administration, second by Mrs. Zipperer, passed 3-0.

Motion by Mrs. Zipperer, second by Mrs. Wood for Executive Session: Idaho Code 67-2345, Subsection (b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent or public school student: Roll call vote: Fredrickson, Wood, Zipperer each “yes”.

The meeting returned to open session at 11:35 a.m.

Motion by Mrs. Wood to extend the suspension for Student A for the remainder of the 2006-07 school year (8 days remaining). Student will be allowed to complete missed class work and will be allowed to make-up missed homework assignments. If deemed appropriate by the administration, student shall attend ISAT Summer School and upon successful completion, may return to school Fall 2007 under a performance and behavior contract, second by Mrs. Zipperer, passed 3-0.

Motion by Mr. Fredrickson to expel Student B for the remainder of the 2006-07 school year with mandatory attendance at Project CDA Summer School with a performance, behavior and attire contract. Upon successful completion, student may return to school Fall 2007. Monthly progress reports (Summer School through School Year 2007-2008) will be sent to the Board via the Superintendent, second by Mrs. Zipperer, passed 3-0.
