Special Meeting April 10, 2007

MINUTES

At 3:05 p.m. Chair Vern Newby called the meeting to order. Trustees Sid Fredrickson and Diane Zipperer were also present.

Motion by Mrs. Zipperer, second by Mr. Fredrickson for Executive Session: Idaho Code 67-2345, Subsection (b) to consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent or public school student. Roll Call Vote: Newby, Fredrickson, Zipperer each “yes”. Trustees Brooks and Wood did not attend.

The meeting returned to open session at 3:45 p.m.

Motion by Mr. Fredrickson to expel Student A for the remainder of the school year. Student may attend summer school with a performance and attendance contract for each class. Any future violations to the Board Policy regarding weapons by the student over the next 12 months will result in an immediate hearing before the Board.

Mr. Fredrickson withdrew the motion and restated as follows: to expel Student A for the remainder of the school year. Student may attend summer school with a performance and attendance contract for each class. Any future violations to the Board Policy regarding weapons by the student over the next 12 months in School District 271 will result in an immediate hearing before the Board, second by Mrs. Zipperer, passed 3-0.

Meeting adjourned at 3:48 p.m.
