Message-

Welcome to Hayden Meadows.  In my third year as principal here, I want to share a few things happening at our school.  We are in the third year of exploring the Primary Years’ Program (PYP) from International Baccalaureate Organization.  Our high schools have an IBO program in place and this is the elementary piece which prepares students to participate at the high school level.  I will be sharing information about PYP with parents through our newsletter and you can also access information through www.ibo.org.  We hope to be a fully authorized PYP school in the next three years.  The staff is committing a lot of time and energy to training and study in order to make this project a reality.

We continue to have very supportive parents who work in the classrooms, serve on committees through the PTA, and help out where ever there is a need.  Any time you have great parent support, you have an excellent school.  That combined with our professional, caring staff, makes Hayden Meadows a wonderful place for children to grow and learn.

At this time we are one of two schools in the District with over 600 students.  Even with that large number of students, it is a warm and inviting place at which to work and learn.  We strive to create an atmosphere where students treat each other and staff with respect, where they take responsibility for their learning and where they explore opportunities to provide service to the community and world around them.

History-Hayden Meadows opened in the fall of 1992 to accommodate the continuing growth in the Hayden area, and serves students in the northeast corner of our District.  Home of the Huskies, Meadows has one of the largest student bodies of the District’s elementary schools.
