6109 - P.E. Required {Physical Education}
(9,10,11,12) 1 Credit/1 Semester
This course is required for all students prior to graduation. Each
student will be given the opportunity to utilize the basic skills of
physical education. Concepts in health and first-aid as it applies to
physical education will also be covered.
9TH GRADERS ARE EXPECTED TO TAKE THIS CLASS.
6117/6118 - P.E. Elective {Physical Education}
(9,10,11,12) 1 Credit/1 Semester
In this elective course, students will be given the opportunity to utilize
the basic skills of physical education, but emphasis is placed on individual
lifetime sports and recreation.
6221 - LIFE SPORTS/APPLIED P.E. (11,12) 1
Credit/1 Semester
This course is designed to develop a desire to remain active throughout the
student's life. The objectives of the course are to encourage participation,
develop a knowledge of rules, strategies, and common courtesies of the
sports. This course has limited enrollment.
Prerequisite: Off campus class - transportation required.
6313/6314 - P.E. /FITNESS (9,10,11,12) 1
Credit/1 Semester
The primary activities of the class will be weight training, aerobic
conditioning and flexibility.
6510 - HEALTH (10,11,12) 1 Credit/1 Semester
Basic health covering wellness, nutrition, fitness, stress, suicide
prevention, human sexuality, drug abuse, infectious diseases, and mental
health. This course is required for all students prior to graduation. The
course curriculum meets the Idaho State Standards. Students must pass the
health exit exam to graduate.
Skill Sets: CPR and First Aid
6520 - FIRST AID (9,10,11,12) 1 Credit/1
Semester
This course emphasizes advanced first aid skills, safety techniques,
bandaging and CPR certification. Included are guest speakers from community
health and care services.
6525 - CONCEPTS OF ATHLETIC TRAINING
(9,10,11,12) 1 Credit/1 Semester
Designed primarily for students interested in entering the fields of
coaching, physical education or athletic training.
