STUDENTS:

Baseball players – Poinsettia sales continue through next Wednesday, Please turn you money into Coach Taylor no later then Wednesday, Nov. 26.

 

Food Drive Days:   Why Not Wednesday: Thank you Thursday: Feed Them Friday.

Any money collected will count as $1.00 equals 10 pounds.  Students can erase library fines by bring cans of food – each can counts at fifty cents. The class competition will have prize of breakfast going to the top three contributing classes.  Our goal is to surpass 60,000 pounds, keeping in the tradition of Lake City High School providing more money and food during our food drive than any other group through out the year.  Despite difficult times, no one should have to go hungry during the holiday season.

 

November 17th through the 21st is National Homeless Awareness Week.  Key Club will be running a Homeless Supplies drive in conjunction with the Food Drive.  We are asking student bring their donations to their A-1 classes and turn them in with their food drive donations.  Special items will be asked for on specific days, but any items are welcome everyday.  The days are as follows: Tuesday Toiletry Day: Wednesday – Hat & Gloves Day: Thursday Warm Sock Day and Friday is Blanket Day. The week will culminate in a sleep out in the Senior Parking Lot Friday night to help raise awareness of the local homeless population,  If you are interested or have any questions, please see Mr. Edmonds in room D-12 for more details.

 

Softball Open Gym will be beginning next week very Monday and Wednesday from 3:00 – 5:00 from now through February.

 

LUNCH:  Roast Turkey, made to order sub sandwiches, crispy chicken sandwich, fresh fruit & veggie bar, potato choice, fat free or low fat milk, daily salad special, soup & sandwich, and fast food choice

 

 

COUNSELING CORNER:

ASVAB SIGN-UP – The ASVAB will be given on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 8:00 a.m.  This is an excellent tool designed for juniors and seniors to determine aptitude and possible future career interests.  The ASVAB is free.  Please sign up with the counseling secretary if you are interested.

 

The PLAN test will be on Saturday, December 6th.  The cost is $15.00.  There is a limited amount of test available.  Please sign up in the counseling center by Tuesday, November 25th.  If you have any questions, please see your counselor.

 

TEACHERS:

During first period, the Special Ed Department will be going to each classroom with Christmas cards. If you would like to send a Holiday message to our troops in Iraq, please take a card and write a message.
