Instructional TechnologyTechnology is integral to teaching, learning, and student success. Planning | Policies and Guidelines | Resources | BTL's | Home The Coeur d' Alene School District recognizes that technology is a catalyst for teaching and learning. As stated in the District technology vision, "Technology is integral to teaching, learning, and ensuring student success in the 21st century." The current technology plan was approved by the board in the summer of 2005. You will find a copy of the plan under the planning link. The district has undertaken steps to improve access to technology. The levy approved by the community in April, 2002, included 2.6M for technology upgrades over four years. 1,865 classroom and lab computers have been replaced at this time. Technical support is ongoing and includes hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair. The district also maintains both local area networks and wide area networks. In order to prepare their students, educators must be proficient with technology. Consequently, technology staff development continues to be a high priority in the district. The district has also undertaken an ongoing process to adapt the district curriculum to incorporate technology.
