From the teachers:
As educators, we believe in preparing our students to become
life-long learners and responsible citizens. This entails providing the
information, skills, and encouragement our children need to succeed. Each
classroom provides a safe and caring environment where students can feel
comfortable taking risks and becoming problem solvers. Students learn the
importance of working cooperatively as well as becoming more independent.
Emphasis is placed on the development of positive values, choices, and
attitudes.
Academic milestones are reached in third grade. These include adding and
subtracting larger numbers, learning the multiplication and division facts, as
well as paragraph and cursive writing. In reading, emphasis is placed on fluency
and comprehension. We also study the environment and learn about our community
and its government.
Students learn the importance of personal responsibility as they transition to
become more independent learners and responsible citizens.
