Warren Olson will be our new principal in 2008-2009!  He is very excited about joining our staff and working with our Primary Years Program.  He has been assistant principal of Coeur d'Alene High School since 1999.  He started as a secondary school administrator/teacher at CHS in 1976.  He taught Speech/English classes at CHS and was a counselor for many years before becoming an administrator.  He is a native of Rathdrum, Idaho.  Education:            University of Idaho, B. A Message from our principal, Mrs. Hamilton:      

Dear Fernan Students and Families,

It is with mixed feelings that I start this letter.  In many ways I am sad to be leaving Fernan.  I have worked here an accumulation of 12 years; four years as a speech-language pathologist, three years as assistant principal and five years as principal.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my opportunities to interact with the students, families, and staff in this wonderful school community.  I have made many friends I hope to continue to see in the future.

I am excited about my new position as assistant principal at Lakes Middle School.  I know I will see many students and families there in future years.  I am also excited to be leaving the school in the capable hands of Warren Olson.  He has already participated in planning for next year and I believe he will bring great skills and knowledge to Fernan.  I would like to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation for everyone at Fernan who help make this school such a great place.  I will miss you! 

Thanks again for all of the many ways you have helped make these years at Fernan so rewarding and enjoyable for me.  I have many fond memories of my time here.
