FRANCE
In June of 2005 I
spent five weeks in France. Two weeks were spent painting with
a French friend, two weeks with an American friend touring the southern Alps, Provence and as many art museums as possible, and then a week on my own in
Paris, the "center" of the art world. This site will be to
highlight some of the amazing artists that have come out of France. Come
back often to see what new information I have added!
March 9, 2005: Well, I have discovered that there are far too many French artists to list here. So, below are some links that will acquaint you with the many famous French artists, as far back as the prehistoric cave paintings.
July 21, 2005: What a great summer adventure! I'm now saving for my next trip to France. While in Paris I made some new friends, among them some dedicated jazz musicians, all of whom I look forward to seeing again. Here is a map of where I went in France:
