At the beginning of the year the First Grade students learned about overlapping and drew a lion with guided instruction. The students learned to follow simple and more complex patterns and to create their own patterns on sweaters. They learned to look at a still life to draw. We practiced with a flower still life like Georgia O'Keefe and a soup can like Andy Warhol! There was also time to learn to draw PIRATE SHIPS!
| This is the mural created at the annual School District 271 All Student Art Show in the spring of 2008. |
