School District 271 is dedicated to the concept of providing each child with an academically excellent education. The objectives presented on these pages will provide you with a general understanding of the objectives that we will be working on at each grade level and content area this year.

The district has been engaged in defining written, taught, tested, and reported curriculum. You will find connections between these objectives, classroom instruction, assessments given to your child, and the manner in which his/her progress is reported to you.

Children of the same age are not always at the same developmental stage. Consequently, the objectives presented on these pages may need to be modified or enriched depending upon the need of the individual child.
