CHS presents classic tale
Coeur d’Alene High School Theatre Department will open its autumn production of the Broadway classic Once Upon a Mattress on Thursday, Nov. 5. Performances continue Nof. 6, 7 and 12, 13, 14 at 7 p.m., with a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. Nov. 14.
With this high energy and heart warming story and such stage favorites as Kellie Washko (Princess Winnifred), Caleb Ratelle (Prince Dauntless), Sherry Jensen (Queen Aggravain), Austin Beals (King Sextimus the Silent), Mackenzie Murray (Lady Larken), and Brendan Brady (Sir Harry) this show is sure to leave the audience wanting more.
Once Upon a Mattress is the classic childhood story of The Princess and the Pea with a twist or two. Prince Dauntless is awaiting a princess who can pass Queen Aggravain’s rigorous test for his hand in marriage. This show is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its mystical characters and delightful plot. Let the Minstrel take you through her charming journey as the kingdom comes alive in waiting for the princess.
All performances are in the Coeur d’Alene High School Fahringer Auditorium located on the campus of Coeur d’Alene High School. Tickets are available at Hands to Art located at 3115 N. Government Way in Coeur d’Alene, by phone at 769-2999, or at the door one hour prior to any performance. This is a general seating event and doors open 30 minutes before curtain.
