CDA4Kids exists to provide enrichment activities and academic supports in a safe and inspiring environment.

Enrichment Activities

We want kids to experience the beauty of life! Enrichment activities have included: arts, music, crafts, sports, ecology, citizenship, cooking, drama, gardening, culture and much more. We are only limited by our creativity and volunteer base!

Academic Enrichment

We want to help kids be successful in reading, language arts, math and science. Our goal is to provide enrichment activities that will excite students and inspire them to learn what it takes to reach their goals. Presently, the data shows that students that participate in experiential based enrichment programs achieve greater gains in standardized testing.

Do you want to get involved?

We need volunteers to ... read with kids or tutor, share a hobby, supervise activities, raise funds, be a friend, coach, cheerleader or grandparent and much, much more.

Why CDA4Kids?

In a recent local student survey ...

Only 25% reported any parental school involvement
Only 30% stated any positive family communication
Only 28% of youth felt they had a positive adult role model
Only 18% of youth felt they were valued in the community
and 42% did not report feeling safe in their community.

FACT: In the United States, 5-7 million youth are unsupervised every day after school

FACT: Unsupervised youth are more likely to engage in risky behavior, commit crimes or be the victims of crimes.

FACT: After-school programs can transform a time of risk into a time of opportunity for adolescents to become engaged, successful, and contributing citizens.
