Welcome to Fourth Grade. We
created this page to share with you what is happening in the fourth grade rooms
at Borah.
The fourth grade team recognizes that fourth grade is a year of change for
students and parents. Through academics, our goal is to teach children
responsibility for themselves, quality work, and maximum effort in all areas of
life.
Our curriculum is
based on state and district mandated standards. Our Lewis & Clark
and Oregon Trail units provide opportunities for role playing field
trips which make learning fun.
Our
curriculum includes:
Language
Arts: (read to learn, grammar, punctuation, spelling,
handwriting, writing, listening, speaking and viewing)
Math:
(basic facts, reasoning & problem solving, measurement,
algebra, geometry, probability & statistics)
Social
Studies: (geography, state symbols, Native Americans, early
exploration, western movement, economics, state government)
Science:
(animal adaptations, geology, and space)
