Fifth Grade

  Our students are preparing for future grades each day by learning respect and responsibility for themselves and their daily work.

The fifth grade concentrates on reading novels, the six writing traits, story writing with a flair, and relevant local topics in the newspaper. In math we study decimals, fractions, percents, area, and beginning algebra, while in History we study the Early Explorers, colonies, The American Revolutionary War, and government.   In Science we are studying body systems including the circulatory and respiratory systems, water, and matter.
